Duncan, Courington & Rydberg’s Admiralty
and Maritime attorneys represent extensive and varied
marine interests throughout the Gulf South. The firm represents
vessel owners of lift boats; crew, supply and push boats;
utility vessels, as well as operators, underwriters and
marine insurance companies.
Our attorneys defend personal injury
and wrongful death claims that arise from casualties and
disasters and other claims. We have successfully managed
claims involving the majority of lift boat casualties
in the Gulf South in the past 10 years.
The firm recently defended a lift boat company in a
casualty in which the vessel capsized and 19 individuals
fell in the water. We settled four claims immediately
and 15 others within a 13 month timeframe, significantly
cutting legal costs and limiting exposure for our client.
