Scott B. Kiefer was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on August 5, 1963. He was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1988, the U.S. District Court, Eastern, Western and Middle Districts of Louisiana and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit in 1990. He received his education from Southern Methodist University (B.A., 1985) and Louisiana State University (J.D., 1988). He was the Law Clerk to the Hon. Edwin F. Hunter, Jr., U. S. District Court, Western District of Louisiana, 1988-1990. He is a member of the New Orleans, Louisiana State and Federal Bar Associations, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel and the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute.
