Kaye N. Courington
was born in Cherry Point, North Carolina on November 18, 1958. She was admitted to the Louisiana Bar, and the U.S. District Court, Eastern, Western and Middle Districts of Louisiana in 1988 and the Texas Bar in 1994. She received her education from H. Sophie Newcomb Memorial College (B.A., 1980) and Tulane University (M.Ed., 1982; J.D., cum laude, 1987). She has filed amicus briefs on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce of the United States of America, the American Insurance Association, the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America, the Coalition for Litigation Justice and the American Chemistry Council. Kaye sits on the board of the Louisiana Organization for Judicial Excellence and has testified before the Louisiana Legislature on the issue of hedonic damages tort reform. She is a member of the New Orleans, Louisiana State and American Bar Associations, the Association of Women Attorneys, the Maritime Law Association and has been on the Board of Directors of the New Orleans Claims Association. Kaye is currently the Chair of the Press Relations Committee for the Council of Litigation Management.
