Leah L. Broussard was born in Erath, Louisiana on
April 6, 1977. She received her undergraduate degree in
business management from the Freeman School of Business
of Tulane University (B.A., cum laude, 1999) and
continued her education with the University of Georgia
School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2002), where she
was an officer in the intellectual property association,
participated in Moot Court and focused in tax law. She
graduated cum laude and completed several
clerkships, including clerking in the corporate legal
department Home Depot, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia and a
boutique international tax firm in Charleston, South
Carolina. Leah was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in
2002, the Mississippi Bar in 2004, and is currently
licensed to practice before all state and federal courts
in Louisiana and Mississippi. Leah is a member of the
Defense Research Institute and the American Bar
Association. She maintains a busy practice in toxic tort
litigation, insurance defense, product liability and
appellate practice, with a focus on research and
pleading drafting.
